What is a Naturopathic Doctor
A naturopathic doctor (ND or NMD) is a primary care provider who has graduated from a 4-year medical school and passed a 2-part rigorous licensing exam equivalent to conventional medical school.
Additionally, we draw from a large toolbox of evidence-based natural therapies, to work with the body as much as possible to bring it into balance.
Our goal is to reduce reliance on medication, and we work with your current doctors to complement your existing plan.
Ultimately, we seek to promote health rather than merely manage disease, bringing long-term relief and preventing further damage.

What is Functional Medicine?
Functional medicine is a term employed by medical professionals to describe a model used to break down the complexity of disease. It is not a professional degree per se. Recognizing that symptoms and disease are the body's expression of dysfunction, the precise identification of root causes via advanced testing leads to an individualized, patient-centered treatment plan. The Institute of Functional Medicine is the most widely-recognized organization for training healthcare providers in this approach.
